Getting Flexible at C2events!

C2events set up a Flexible Working Focus Group at the end of last year with the brief to consider the likes of compressed hours, flexitime, 4-day week, working from home, term-time working and career breaks.

As a result, C2 has just introduced a Flexitime initiative enabling team members to work 7.5 hours a day between the core hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm with the option to take a half hour break as opposed to a full hour.

Commenting on the initiative, C2events Founder, Executive Director and Focus Group member, Cheryl Clarke said, ‘We discussed the merits and practicality of several options and then conducted a company-wide survey. This was invaluable in gauging what would be most motivating. We introduced it just before the COVID-19 situation and it was already proving popular and with the team now all working from home, the feedback has continued to be very positive.’

Clarke went on to say, ‘Providing a work/live balance has been key since I founded the company. I was delighted that we were a Finalist in the Investors in People Awards last year but even more pleased that we had 0% staff turnover in 2019.’

Mark Saxby, Executive Director said, ‘The business has grown significantly in the last few years and fundamental to our growth is having a happy and motivated team, so we are looking forward to implementing further initiatives.’
